The Fashioning of Tourism Marketing

The Brazilian top fashion brand, MOB, has come out with its alluring Seychelles-Summer Catalogue 2013, captivating fashionistas with its latest summer collection against the spectacular backdrop of the mid-ocean tropical islands of Seychelles.

For over fifteen years, MOB has been under the guidance of two prominent personages in the Brazilian fashion industry, Angelo Campos and Marcelo Dib. The eminent MOB, whose reputation and influence in the fashion industry is evident by the incredible media attention its campaigns receive in Brazil, launches every year two major campaigns – Summer and Winter Catalogue.

Seychelles had the honour of hosting the MOB’s photo shoot for its latest summer catalogue earlier this year, between 21 and 26 May. The photo shoot was set up by the MOB agent in Brazil, Gisele Abrahão who noted that ROI (Return On Investment) Seychelles will receive from this initiative will be massive.

Already, the MOB Seychelles-Summer Catalogue 2012 has made it into some of top Brazilian fashion magazines and sites, including ELLE, Wish, MAIS GLAM, Circolare to name a few; consequently, raising the profile of the islands.

Other than the catalogue, the MOB 2013 summer fashion campaign makes it that Seychelles will also be feature in their articles, store windows, videos and TV commercials, all of which the Seychelles delegation who will be soon in Brazil, attending the Explore South Africa Roadshow from 25 to 29 August , will hopefully get the chance to view.

The Seychelles delegation will comprise of the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism & Culture, Alain St.Ange, the chief executive of the Seychelles Tourism Board, Elsia Grandcourt, along her director for Africa and the Americas, David Germain and Seychelles-based marketing executive, Myra Fanchette.
