Hospitality Giant’s Taste Of Success

A helping of high praise has been served up to Dunstable-based hotel, restaurant and coffee shop giant Whitbread, for its work with apprentices.

The company, based in Houghton Hall Business Park, has earned an accolade in a regional round of the National Apprenticeship Awards.

For the team was highly commended in the Macro Employer of the Year category for the central eastern region.

Whitbread has more than 800 hospitality apprentices in its hotels and restaurants.

And the team believes apprentices are the lifeblood of its future growth.

Amanda Brady, human resources director at Whitbread-owned Premier Inn, said: “Our commitment to apprenticeships is at the centre of our people strategy. We know businesses with apprentices are more productive, guest feedback improves and our teams are more engaged.”
