Niagara Catholic Teaming Up With NU On Hospitality And Tourism Academy

Niagara Catholic, in collaboration with the College of Hospitality and Tourism at Niagara University, is is establishing the Hospitality and Tourism Academy at Niagara Catholic Jr./Sr. High School.

Students accepted into the program will gain a solid understanding of the hospitality and tourism profession, as well as industry experience. The students who complete this program will also know that when they graduate from Niagara Catholic Jr./Sr. High School that the College of Hospitality & Tourism Management at Niagara University is a good fit for them.

In addition, Niagara Catholic students have the ability to graduate with up to one year of college course work completed. This program allows student to choose the emphasis of hospitality and tourism.

“This is an excellent opportunity for our students to gain first-hand experience and knowledge in that multi-billion dollar worldwide industry, as well as one that continues to grow in Western New York,” said Niagara Catholic President and Principal Ronald Buggs. “We are excited about the program and collaboration with Niagara University.”

Dr. Gary D. Praetzel, dean of Niagara University’s College of Hospitality and Tourism Management, added, “This partnership enhances the success and marketability of Niagara Catholic students.

“Before enrolling at NU these students will already be part of our program through completing NU course work and working with our faculty. Moreover, they will know before joining us that hospitality and tourism is their right career choice and will already have excellent real world work experiences.”
