He noted, “Tourists and investors have many destinations and options to choose from around the world, so we should continue our efforts to make it easy for people to come here to visit Oman, and if they choose and are suitable candidates – to invest. Sustained growth in this area will without a doubt add to the further diversification of the economy, and so benefits everyone.

He added; “The final outcome of any comprehensive strategy needs to highlight Oman’s competitive advantage, in order to motivate tourists and foreign investors to choose Oman over so many of the other destinations available in the world. We need to focus on marketing Oman, and create demand – in order to create supply, which creates local employment opportunities, inbound revenues and increased diversification of the economy.”

With Oman’s construction market currently offering up a wealth of opportunities in fields such as infrastructure, tourism and logistics, the Leaders in Construction summit gave attendees a timely opportunity to discuss the latest sector trends and developments. The summit gathered national and international experts to discuss opportunities and challenges in the region, as well as showcased progress on a number of flagship national projects.
