Haiti Tourism : Things are moving everywhere…

Facade cleaning and restoration in Jacmel
In order to protect ancient heritage of the historic center, to promote the beautification of the city and help to improve the habitat, the Mayor of Jacmel and the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the Institute for Heritage Preservation national (ISPAN) and the owners have planned a project of façade restoration of the historic center. The project concerns a dozen houses of authentic character of the first projects that began, concern three houses in the rue du commerce.

Thursday, Maryse Noel, the Director General of MTIC, accompanied by Andy Durosier, Unit Director of Studies and Planning of the Ministry and Karine Conde, Departmental Director South of South, participated in Aldy Hotel, in the town of Aquin, to a workshop of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) on the Tourist projects of the Southern Department, attended by local authorities and notables of the area. The objective of this workshop concerned the upgrading and development of tourism in the South.

On Saturday, a delegation of journalists from Petit-Goâve composed of : Charlemagne, Dejean Louis, Emmanuel Louiceus, Wadner Noel, Almidor, Wilson Noe, Anel joseph, Lamy Fenol and athiueu Guyto (Correspondant of HL)accompanied by Louis Frantz Baptista, Director of Lycée Faustin Soulouque and two guides of the area, visited theCave Harmorix of Petit-Goâve, located in the locality of Provence, a former highly mystical cave where Indians worshiped their gods.
