How The Corus Hotel Group Increased Online Room Bookings By 25% With Guestline Solutions

The Corus Hotel Group has seen its online bookings sore by 25% after implementing Guestline property management systems. With a total of ten hotels across the UK, two of which are branded as Laura Ashley Hotels, the Corus Hotel Group are supported by Guestline’s cloud-based Rezlynx PMS, distribution and channel manager and PCI manager.

Since investing in this integrated collaborative platform, the hotels have been able to reduce costs and increase revenue through the holistic integration of its PMS and the Distribution Channel management platform. As a result, extra channels have been added to their portfolio which has helped the hotels increase their online sales and consequently boost their revenue.

Colette Togus, the Group Revenue and Distribution Manager for Corus and Laura Ashley Hotels added ‘The Guestline systems have given us the flexibility to manage rate parity across all sites and thus optimize occupancy rates and achieve an uplift in room sales. We have also made significant savings in wage costs and time due to all systems being managed centrally.’

The PMS solutions that the hotels utilise incorporate functions such as business analysis reporting, conference and banqueting, sales ledger and rate management which help properties increase revenue, streamline management processes and achieve cost savings.

With hotels throughout the UK from London to Yorkshire, Corus Hotels offer a variety of meetings and events solutions, individually styled bedrooms and ideal weddings venues. The Laura Ashley boutique hotels include the recently renovated Belsfield in the Lake District and The Manor Hotel in Elstree. Following a £3.5m refurbishment, the Laura Ashley Belsfield Hotel will soon install Guestline’s advanced conference and banqueting manager, a user-friendly event management solution that will help streamline operations and maximise revenue for their meetings, conferences and events.

Phil Davidson, Managing Director of Guestline, commented on the partnership: “We are delighted with the sales and occupancy uplift across the Corus Hotel Group. All our systems are optimized to reap the maximum benefits for our clients and provide them with a swift return on investment soon after implementation. They also have the added benefit of the systems being cloud based and are served directly from our highly secure data centre thus providing a lower cost of ownership. Plus, The Belsfield Hotel will be able to further maximise the value of their events facilities when they install Guestline’s advanced conference and banqueting manager.’
