Colorado companies to build 13-story hotel in Portland

Denver-based Sage Hospitality and Loveland-based McWhinney will build a 13-story hotel in Portland, Oregon, the companies said today.

The property will be an AC Hotel by Marriott and should be open by December 2016. It will be built by M.A. Mortenson Co. and will include 204 guest rooms.2

Portland’s SERA Architects will design the project, which will also include 1,220 square feet of small meeting space.

“Portland is a fast-growing city and we are thrilled to be expanding our presence in the community,” said Walter Isenberg, president and CEO of Sage. “This hotel will not only offer a unique and sophisticated experience for visitors, but (also) will afford locals a spot to just hang out for coffee or cocktails.”
