Philips Dyanlite and AMX provide system control at Hotel Gallia

The Excelsior Hotel Gallia in Milan is a renovated luxury hotel that includes a suite of AMX and Philips Dynalite control systems for audio, video and lighting.

The Philips Dynalite lighting control system manages the lighting in public areas including 5,000 lighting devices and 500 motorised curtains divided into more than 200 areas such as restaurant, conference rooms, and reception areas.4

The centralised monitoring and control interface, built on graphical maps with Philips Dynalite Envision Manager software provides overall control, while there are also intelligent keypads locally. The lighting sources are varied and the integrated management of lights, audio and video can be configured with simple commands from the local touchscreens.

AMX control systems installed in the meeting rooms, suites and public areas provides a user-friendly interface for the integrated control of lighting, curtains, audio, and video. The systems feature the Modero X Series with IPS technology and multitouch screen, which is the flagship range of control panels from AMX.

Management costs are reduced as the lighting system uses presence and light sensors, which act on a fully dimmed system that automatically adjusts to environmental conditions to improve energy efficiency.
