Bahrain Islamic bank appoints a new Head of Human Resources and General Services

Dawood Al Ashhab joins Bahrain Islamic Bank with a wealth of international banking experience. For the past six years, Mr. Al Ashhab managed the human resources team regionally at Standard Chartered Bank covering Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. His assignment at BisB will also include the area of general services, Mr. Al Ashhab has a Bs in Public Administration, and he is a certified coach from Gallup University,UK and he is a member in the Society of HR Management. Mr. Al Ashhab will be an integral part of the Bank’s transformation team in realigning the talent management agenda, which is specifically targeted towards Bahrain talent.

Hassan Jarrar, CEO of BisB, said “our people really are our greatest assets. And developing and training our Bahrain talent is at the top of the bank’s transformation journey. I look to Dawood to help us achieve that.”

Mr. Al Ashhab said “It’s an honor and a privilege to join the kingdom’s first Islamic bank. Being part of this team is very exciting and I hope to be able to bring some key best practices to BisB. Creating a winning and a can-do culture in the bank is the key factor in helping BisB overcome some historical legacy challenges.”
